| Support a Stem Cell Executive Order | |
| President Obama has indicated that he plans to overturn the funding restrictions for stem cell research by signing an Executive Order. Currently, under the policy set by President Bush, federal funding for stem cell research can only be applied to human embryonic stem cell lines derived prior to August 9, 2001. If President Obama signs an Executive Order, then many new funding opportunities will be available for stem cell projects because the current funding barriers will be removed. I'm an MS Activist, so I signed my petition right away!
I am a person with MS but I am also active with Right to Life. I don't feel that we need embryonic stem cell research since there are other avenue. Why are our lives more important than an unborn child? Allowing the destruction of an unborn child, what's next the handicapped, the elderly, mentally handicapped? Think about this....
Whether right to life or not.
Embryonic Stem cells ( for fetus' that have been termed) should be reason to use these types of stem cells. They could actually PROVIDE continued Life for others.
