PEORIA - Doctors say the face of Multiple Sclerosis is changing as treatments continue to improve and evolve.
Recent findings suggest getting extra sunlight could keep help keep MS on the back burner.
Kim Reiman has been living with MS for 18 years. She meets with her nurse, and long time friend Vicky Schwegmann every month to get a drug infusion to slow down her immune system as it attacks her nerves.
"MS has changed entirely from when i was diagnosed to now, there were no treatments besides paleative and now i'm walking today on account of the medicines," said Reiman.
Even with the medicine, as a mother of seven, she's forced to find balance, between reality and optimism.
"I have about half of the amount of awake or go time that an average healthy human has, about half, so i just work everything in sections, you know and make it work... when I mind the rules that it places upon me, the MS and I get along the best we can and I can function best with my illness that way but I have to mind the rules, it's like having a short leash," smiled Reiman.
MS Doctor Areen Said says there are only six types of FDA approved treatments for MS, and all are injectible. Recent findings linking the disease to Vitamin D deficiency are another piece of the puzzle to finding a cure.

Can someone send me a real good link regarding MS - with the following constraints:
I really believe conventional medicine treats MS as one who tests DRUGS on guinea pigs. No DRUGS - is the real remedy, only oxygen (as in ozone), light and good, organic food. ANYTHING else added to these - I don't want even to see it, unless it is strictly for the purpose of enhancing one of the above 3 modes of treatment.
Would very much appreciate to hear from you at marylinda at gmx dot com. And THANKS!!
