For those that read this blog and/or my facebook page(s)

I wonder how many of you visit the MSV&N website? Sure, I can just look up stats, but I would rather hear from you..

Do you know, that on my website's homepage, there is a guestbook where you can leave comments of the site or use it as a place to ask questions or communicate with others?
If you have yet to see this, then please click here.

To write anything in the guestbook though, you need to first be registered with our site. And if you are not yet registered, then simply click here. It will take you less than 30 seconds to complete the registration.

One person once wrote back that it only took her 17 seconds. I wonder if she really clocked it???

Other features of the website include articles from an occupational therapist, an MS RN (ask the MS Nurse),
Stem Cell and CCSVI information, a resources section, patient videos and more.

If you have an MS related video to share with others, please send it to me, for me to add to one of our sites

Visit  to see what so many refer to when seeking MS information.

Did you know that you can review previous e-Newsletters dating back to January 2009?  Why? Well maybe because there is information there that you question. Use the search box found at this blog of archived e-newsletters to find what you question about MS.

SSI Disability “Ticket to Work” Program {Electronic Pamphlet-[Acrobat file]
http://www.socialsecurity.gov/pubs/10061.html

After finding alternative "non SSI" information resources, here's my personal view of the "Ticket to Work" program:
This program [legislation] was passed by Obama in 09 with a small part of the "ploy" to boost the jobless numbers but mostly a program that may help in aiding in the decrease of our the deficit (every little bit counts) in support of the growing number of the not so "disabled" off the Disability collecting network.

Although the program commits to a max of 5 years, earning a minimum of $1000. per month, at which point you're thrown back into re-qualifying for your disability status (most probably denied). This occurs when your 5 year term in the Back to Work Program is up. This is a short term fix for now but longer term it could help the government in solving the growing budget problems.

Also their hand picked network of Nat'l "Back to Work" resource companies including employment agencies, training companies, etc who get you "equipped" to re-enter the competitive work-force. Although this help is a nice resource, they are all keeping tabs and reporting your "improved" status back to SSI. Gosh you know "they can't be that disabled if they are back to work" right? Buyer beware!

Yes at first this seems very appealing to disables (like me) who feel somewhat useless and unproductive that this program gives them a chance to prove they still have value and can make money (tugs at your ego).

Oh and by the way, SSI's approved Nat'l disabled "hit list" generated in 09, I bet mostly includes people like me who worked within the past 5 years and are not "fully" disabled at this point and time.

This gullible person realizes gaining value in myself can also be achieved by volunteering and helping people/organizations in need
I'll do that instead!
