SAINT-LOUIS-DE- KENT, N.B. - Conservative Leader David Alward said Sunday he would push the provincial government to create a fund to help people seek a controversial treatment for multiple sclerosis if his party doesn't win the New Brunswick election Monday.
The Tories have promised to create a $500,000 fund to help MS patients seek liberation therapy, which goes beyond what any other province has committed to do.
While liberation therapy is an unproven treatment, Alward said he's personally witnessed the positive effects it has had on MS patients and his party supports it.
"We believe this makes good sense for the people of New Brunswick," he said in an interview as he made one final swing through a number of ridings.Read More
