The procedure is covered under American Health plans...the procedure is also being done at AI3 Clinic in Clearwater Florida at a reduced price for Canadians and those who do not have medical coverage. I have had MS for over twelve years and had the procedure done by Dr. Arslan in January and I am doing very well. I am a Canadian who wishes I could attend this session with Dr. K. He rocks! Please post anything you can about the session. Thanks & BLessings Wendy |

Dear Stuart,
My life with MS. 23 years ago, 4 months after my second child was born, I was diagnosed with RRMS. I had exacerbation's, every 4 to 6 months. Ten years later, the exacerbation's were less but I would never recover 100%. March of 2007, after an MRI stated I had too much iron in the brain, not consistent with my age; I was diagnosed with Secondary Progressive MS. My decline was extremely rapid. I was in a wheelchair, within months. I had the only treatment available to me, Novantrone (Chemotherapy) for two years. I didn't get better, I got worst and we stopped treatment after the Neurologist read the risk for Leukemia were higher than thought. When I was faced with no other treatment, I was told there was no hope for me. Through Facebook, I learned about Dr. Zamboni and made it my mission, to find a doctor. I went to Dr. Krolczyk, because I knew he was an advocate of this procedure. He ordered an MRV and the results were 80% stenosis on my left jugular and a high grade 90% stenosis on my right jugular. Now I had all the results I needed, my mission was to find a doctor. I searched under the Society of Interventional Radiologist. I found doctors in Tampa, Florida, where I live. I emailed the first doctor on the list. I simply stated what the results said and attached a few pictures from the MRV. I asked him if he was willing to help me. The next day he emailed me saying he would help me; call for an appointment. July 12, 2010, I was his first MS patient Dr. Bulent Arslan, did the CCSVI (Chronic cerebro-spinal venous insufficiency) procedure. This is a venogram, where a dye is injected and where there is blockage, a balloon (angioplasty) is placed. Since the vein has had malformation many years, it is only natural to want to go back to its original form. This is why so many patients have to have the procedure more than once. Mine was done December 13, 2010. We need someone to invent a stent for veins.
Feel free to contact me with any questions. You can listen to my video on my FB page under photos, go to videos ( on top right ) and you can hear what I say.
Best

I had angioplasty Nov 30,2010. The dopplar did not detect it because the narrowed veins were under my clavical bones. Before treatment I had a cane, impaired vision, speech, ms hug, confusion...etc. That is all gone now. I am working hard in Nova Scotia to have this availble for those that can't go away...youtube videos under Crystal's Liberation... |
Find other Videos on You Tube from Patients, of their CCSVI procedures...
